HCV Treatment Path 4.0 App Includes Latest Medication Guidelines

BioPluslogoAltamonte Springs, Florida based BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy released an update and expansion of its hepatitis C virus (HCV) Treatment Path prescriber app to help guide selection of a hepatitis C therapy.

The revamped HCV Treatment Path version 4.0 supports both iOS and Android devices, features an enhanced user interface to ease use on mobile devices, and contains guidelines for all hepatitis C medications including the latest: EpclusaGilead Science’s Epclusa, which recently received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval.

Epclusa is the only pan-genotypic single tablet regimen for treating adults with genotype 1-6 chronic hepatitis C infection.

The app earned a 5-star rating from Apple iTunes and has been downloaded by 3,100 prescribers.

“It’s exciting to get this latest version of our HCV Treatment Path app into prescribers hands to aid in the process of navigating the ever-changing MontanezEHCV treatment landscape,” said BioPlus chief operations officer Elvin Montanez, in a press release . “As we work with prescribers, we’ve found even more ways that we can improve the performance and functionality of the application in ways that are relevant to the user experience.”
